This Sunday and Beyond…Good morning As we open this month’s theme together, we will build our service of wonder, exploring the possibility and practicing wonder together. What might we discover? How might we be changed by a service that invites us to embrace wonder together? What will even happen when we begin, first, with I Wonder…? Our service begins at 10:30 AM. If you plan to join us online, click Launch Service. Building Our December AltarEach month this year, we have built an altar to start the month. This month, we expand that altar building with items important to YOU. Our December theme is “Wonder,” We invite you to bring one or more items for our altar that invoke wonder in you or are meaningful for December. They may relate to a December holiday important to your family. Maybe your item(s) recall your childhood, favorite winter activities, or traditions you have built. The altar we build together will be in use through December.MUSICLinden Tree Coffeehouse’s WINTER POTPOURRI is back for an evening of discovering new talent on Saturday, December 10, at 7:30 pm. Kirsten Manville and ten New England singer-songwriters will play two songs each with hopes of being chosen to perform during next year’s season. Audience input will play a significant part in the decision, so please come down to help choose while enjoying new music and faces. The admission for this show is a suggested $10, which we will share with the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Our next service date is Saturday, December 17, 2022.Salvation Army Holiday Gift Giving Drive Each holiday season, we collect gifts for Wakefield families who are financially struggling. We partner with the Wakefield Unit Salvation Army. Wakefield families who don’t have the resources to give gifts to their children are very grateful. It brings joy into the lives of their children. Thank you!SPECIAL EVENTFriday, December 9, 7 PM – A Christmas Carol Staged Reading Update: we have twelve people signed up. You don’t have to be a reader to join us for hot cocoa and cookies. Come and be part of the audience and listen to the story. We will collect cash/check donations for the Wakefield Food Pantry at intermission. You will also be able to donate online.Rev.
