The Wakefield unit is independent and serves Wakefield families in need. They provide different types of assistance and support throughout the year. UUCW has been generous each year, and we will do it again this year. In December, we will have the opportunity to help some Wakefield children have a wonderful holiday. The gift list will be emailed and posted in the sanctuary by Sunday, November 27. We ask that your unwrapped gifts be delivered to the church by December 11. Mark your calendars. The new building site also includes a large wooded area containing over two thousand trees and a volcanic rock outcrop Linda Ireland, who heads the Friends of the NEMT Forest, gives a tour every Sunday at 2:00 PM. She explains the surveyor’s markings, where the blasting will be to remove much of the volcanic rock outcrop, where the parking lots are, the stairs from the building to student parking, and lots about the trees and other flora and fauna which will be destroyed. I know a group of UUCW members/friends walk Breakhart on Sunday summer mornings. Many of you care about our local environment and would be interested in this issue. The devastation of that property is truly horrifying to me. I want to let people know what’s happening and to save the trees and volcanic rock from destruction.”You can learn more about the impact of this project on the wooded area. Please attend one of Linda Ireland’s tours and review the information provided by clicking this link. Sincerely, EleanorUUCW Calendar:This is a new feature where you can see when the church is busy with shared space activities and church events. Click here for November. See you Sunday!
