This Sunday and Beyond…Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving, Nearly 20 years ago, the UUA recognized us as a Welcoming Congregation. Now we have the opportunity to renew that status, and we begin today. A week out from public trauma against the queer community, we will look at how our world has changed since we first named inclusion as one of our congregational values. We’ll explore how Unitarian Universalism has changed and how we can begin the work of drawing our welcoming circle wider still so that we may create a space where all people are not only told they are sacred, they feel it deeply in our actions. Our service begins at 10:30 AM. If you plan to join us online, click Launch Service. MUSICLinden Tree Coffeehouse’s WINTER POTPOURRI is back for an evening of discovering new talent on Saturday, December 10, at 7:30 pm. Kirsten Manville and ten New England singer-songwriters will play two songs each with hopes of being chosen to perform during next year’s season. Audience input will play a significant part in the decision, so please come down to help choose while enjoying new music and faces. The admission for this show is a suggested $10, which we will share with the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. For more information please visit the LTC website.UU COMMUNITY NEWS: “LOVE over hate. “Thank you to All Souls Unitarian Church of Colorado Springs for opening their doors and holding a vigil for those we lost and injured to another act of senseless gun violence and hate. So many community members came, but ASUC’s sanctuary couldn’t accommodate everyone who wanted to participate in the vigil. Unable to get into the church, many didn’t leave but stood in the cold in silence. COMMUNITY OUTREACH Salvation Army Holiday Gift Giving Drive – Begins this Sunday. Each holiday season, we collect gifts for Wakefield families who are financially struggling. We partner with the Wakefield Unit Salvation Army. Wakefield families who don’t have the resources to give gifts to their children are very grateful. It brings joy into the lives of their children. Click here for the gift list. We ask that your unwrapped gifts be delivered to the church by Sunday, December 11. Mark your calendars.
