This Sunday and Beyond…Good morning,This Sunday, The Enduring Force: Love At The Center. What might Unitarian Universalism look like without the Seven Principles we are so familiar with? We just might find out soon! In this service, Rev. Elizabeth introduces the draft that may change our Principles and Sources. In community, we’ll explore our Principles’ history, thoughts, and feelings about the proposed changes and ask how this new language might change us. Our service begins at 10:30 AM. If you plan to join us online, click Launch Service. UU COMMUNITY NEWS:Article II Study Commission Update. FROM REV. ELIZABETH:I had the opportunity this week to attend one of the Article II Draft feedback sessions. It was a thoughtful and challenging discussion that gave me an opportunity to reflect on some of the assumptions we put on the familiar.I have been doing some personal reflection about my own relationship to our Principles and Sources, my own assumptions about our Principles and Sources, and our communal relationship to our Principles and Sources. As we prepare to come together on Sunday, I hope you, too, will spend some time reflecting on our current Principles and Sources, and share your experiences with me.Email Rev. Elizabeth |
