So often in our culture, “darkness” is used as a stand-in for the negative. We hear people talk about “dark times.” We witness colorism play out as lighter skin affords people greater privileges. But there is great beauty, great wonder to be found in darkness. As we approach the longest night of the year, we will challenge the common phrases or ideas, and explore stories of wonderful darkness.
